According to sources cited by Al-Muntasaf Net, an armed man affiliated with the Taiz military formations opened fire on an electronics and solar energy merchant in Taiz, injuring him.

The sources reported that an armed man from the Taiz military axis assaulted and raided the “Middle East” home appliances and electronics store, shooting the owner and wounding him in the leg. The injured merchant was taken to the hospital for medical assistance.

The sources added that the attack by the Brotherhood-affiliated gunman came after his failed attempt to extort illegal financial tributes from the store owner.

It is worth noting that extortion and assaults on merchants in the city of Taiz, under the control of Al-Islah forces, have been occurring almost routinely since these forces took control of the city in 2015.
