The Mufti of the Muslim Brotherhood attacks the Libyan parliament… and talks about Western plans in collaboration with the Gaddafi regime
The deposed mufti, a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, the political front of the Muslim Brotherhood, Sadiq al-Ghariani, launched an attack on the members of the Libyan House of Representatives regarding the approval of the annual budget.
Al-Ghariani stated that a large number of the deputies were considered activists during Gaddafi’s era, making statements against the regime and proposing ideas of liberation. Once in power, they abandoned all those ideas.
Al-Ghariani added, in a program called “Islam and Life” on his channel (Al-Tanasoh): “Many of them were fighters and activists, but now they accept bribes in exchange for continuing
their salaries, and they do what they previously criticized. This is a betrayal of their homeland.”
Al-Ghariani questioned: “How can the members of parliament, who used to consider themselves fighters, allow the approval of this insane budget?”
For the first time, an operational budget for the Benghazi government was approved for 2024, amounting to 88 billion Libyan dinars, which, according to specialists, is the largest operational budget in Libya’s history. Only a few months remain in 2024.

The budget granted to the Benghazi government signifies an explicit recognition by the internationally recognized Tripoli government of the second government, as well as an acknowledgment of Libya’s division. What distinguishes this division is that the Central Bank of Libya finances both governments.
Returning to the deposed mufti’s statements, he said that the European Union, ambassadors, and American and European intelligence are organizing a meeting in Geneva for those who are against the revolution and the homeland, all of them being Gaddafi’s followers, and they want to establish a council and an entity for them.
