Four people, including a teenager, were killed and at least five others were stabbed in an attack carried out by a man at various locations in the city of Rockford in the state of Illinois, according to the US police.

According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), the police in the city, located about 150 kilometers northwest of Chicago, stated in a statement that they arrested a 22-year-old suspect after the attacks that occurred on Wednesday.

The statement did not mention any possible motive for these attacks.

The victims are: a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, and two men aged 49 and 22, according to the police.
