Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood’s Tareq Al-Suwaidan stirs a great controversy within the group… contradictory statements and expected defeats

The Muslim Brotherhood has once again returned to the fore with their differences and contradictions, which are becoming a huge controversy, coinciding with the 94th anniversary of its establishment in the Arab region, which threatens to end soon, after months of crises between the British and Turkish fronts, which this time was doubled in a decisive blow, according to Tareq Al-Suwaidan; One of the biggest ideologues of the group.

Kuwaiti preacher Tareq Al-Suwaidan, considered one of the most prominent leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, appeared this time to stir controversy on social media, in what amounts to a strong blow to the Brotherhood. In his statements, he said, “I do not support the revolutions”.

In an interview with Omani radio station Hala FM, al-Suwaidan said: “With the waves of the Arab Spring and the buzz it was with, many of our opinions didn’t get to people in clear terms.. I say it clearly, I am not in favor of revolutions; I believe that revolutions lead to destruction and destruction, and lead to the misfortunes of people. After any revolution, people on average go through 13 years of instability, and this is the average for some countries more and some countries less”.

He continued: “Some people used to imagine that I support revolutions, not that we are not with revolutions; we are for the dignity of people while respecting people’s freedom with their rights.. I’ve never been into this”.

The statements of the Muslim Brotherhood preacher have sparked a wide debate on social media platforms, on the grounds that they reflect a retreat from the Brotherhood’s principles that it previously adopted, in addition to being at odds with previous statements made by al-Suwaidan himself.

Social media users circulated an old statement by Al-Suwaidan saying, those who talk about revolutions are not allowed according to Sharia law, if you do not have rights, then fight and struggle and use blood and all means to achieve your rights.

The activists also described Al-Suwaidan as “a chameleon, with contradiction, and without identity” and posted an earlier video during the events in Yemen in which he said, “For the youth who came out of the Sanaa Group for demonstrations and revolution, stay in your places and let all the people join you, fill the squares and disrupt the country”.

Observers said Al-Suwaidan’s reversal is considered a new strong rift within the Brotherhood, which is currently suffering from internal divisions and disagreements on an unprecedented scale that threaten to end.

Observers believe that Al-Suwaidan’s statements will cause an earthquake between the Brotherhood’s divisions and its ideological orientation. This is in addition to the fall of its mercenaries, on which the Brotherhood has long hung its future, and invested money and media trumpets in establishing it in the region.

Social media sites have been abuzz with tweets, leaflets and videos documenting the contradiction of al-Suwaidan. He had previously called on people to revolt against their rulers as an act of jihad and self-sacrifice in the cause of freedom and dignity.

They also discussed the video prepared by the Maat Foundation on the terrorist Brotherhood plans in the Arab world, including the Brotherhood’s member Tareq Al-Suwaidan, who trained more than 70,000 young people to serve the international Brotherhood organization. The report showed confessions by Brotherhood preacher Tareq Al-Suwaidan, who acknowledges Qatar’s support for the Brotherhood, its close relationship with the Qatari leadership, successive visits to Doha, and its relationship with terrorist groups funded by Qatar.
