Former First Lady ‘Missing’… Where has Melania Trump disappeared to?
The disappearance of Melania Trump from the public eye has led many to wonder about the role the former First Lady might play if her husband returns to the White House.
The British newspaper Telegraph mentioned that the former First Lady rarely appears outside the confines of the private Mar-a-Lago club, which has become the permanent base for the Trump family since leaving the White House.
The newspaper pointed out that Melania, who was always by her husband Donald Trump‘s side during his presidency, now rarely appears outside the family’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
The newspaper quoted Lawrence Lamer, a resident of Palm Beach, saying, ‘No one knows where she is… It’s like a puzzle… The issue of her disappearance has certainly spread.’
Donald Trump purchased the Mar-a-Lago resort in 1985 and has made the private members’ club his base, spending most of his time there during his presidency from 2016 to 2020.
Since then, this resort has been considered Trump‘s primary residence, and Melania is believed to be living there as well. Residents are accustomed to regularly seeing her around the resort, especially in the beauty salon.
“A Strange Life”
Lamer, who Trump has banned from entering the resort for life and authored a book about the resort, said, ‘Melania rarely leaves Mar-a-Lago; they have a strange and isolated life there.’
He noted, ‘Members of the resort reported seeing her much less in the club, even though she and her husband live directly across from the main hall.’
He explained that ‘Melania’s absence from public places has also become a focal point of criticism from Trump‘s rivals in his 2024 election campaign,’ adding, ‘Although her husband mentions her during some of his campaign gatherings, it is unclear whether she will play a major role in the new campaign.’
Earlier this year, flyers were distributed in Iowa stating that Melania Trump was ‘missing,’ raising questions about the disappearance of the former First Lady.
Her rare appearances have sparked questions about the role she intends to play, if any, in the event of Trump‘s re-election.
However, Republican frontrunner Nikki Haley hinted that Melania provides her feedback behind the scenes, advising him, for example, not to dance on stage at his election rallies.
Trump also mentioned in a campaign rally in Iowa that she told him, ‘Dear, I love you very much, but not when you’re lifting weights, or when you’re swimming… or when you’re dancing on stage.’
