Public agreement for smuggling Yemeni documents to Iran… Details

After engaging in secret smuggling activities, Houthi militias have signed an agreement with Iran in the field of documents and records, aiming to smuggle Yemeni documents to benefit Iran. Houthi media reported that the agreement includes expanding relations in the field of documents and records, as well as developing relationships in other areas.

Houthi media stated that the Houthi militia leader, Abdullah Hashem al-Siyani, impersonating the head of the Yemeni National Center for Documents, signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of documents and records between Yemen and Iran with the head of the Center for Political and International Studies at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Hassan Sheikh al-Islami.

The signing took place during a meeting hosted by the Center for Political and International Studies at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by a Houthi delegation led by the representative of the militias in Tehran, Ibrahim Mohammed al-Dailami, according to the Yemeni Al-Muntaser website.

Since their takeover, Houthi militias have smuggled hundreds of manuscripts abroad, including a copy of a Yemeni Hamiri manuscript of the Torah that is over (800) years old. It appeared in the possession of Netanyahu during his reception of Yemeni Jews following their deportation from Yemen to Israel as part of a secret deal.

In a related context, the U.S. Central Command stated that it seized advanced Iranian conventional weapons that were en route to the Houthis in Yemen on January 11. The statement noted that this is the first seizure operation of “lethal advanced conventional weapons provided by Iran” to the Houthis since the start of Houthi attacks on commercial ships in November.

Last Friday, U.S. and British forces carried out dozens of joint airstrikes on several Houthi military sites in the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, and Saada. The United States again targeted an airbase in Houthi-controlled Sanaa on Saturday.
