Tehran refuses cooperation… Pakistan accuses Iran of harboring terrorist groups

The Pakistani army stated that the Iranian government was aware of “terrorist activities” but refused to cooperate for joint investigation and action.

In a statement published by the official agency today, Pakistan expressed its concern to Iran in recent years regarding the presence of safe havens for Pakistani separatist fighters, referred to as “Sarmachar,” who live inside Iran. Pakistan has provided evidence of the militants’ presence and their activities.

The ministry stated in its statement, “But due to Iran’s failure to take action on our serious concerns, these individuals continued to shed the blood of innocent Pakistanis with impunity.

The army mentioned that its military operation in Iran targeted locations of the Balochistan Liberation Army, over 80 kilometers deep into Iranian territory, accurately striking 6 sites of separatist factions.

It is worth noting that the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced earlier today that Islamabad “conducted strikes inside Iranian territory targeting separatist militants.”

It also noted that “a number of terrorists were killed during the intelligence-based operation, and its sole objective is to ensure the country’s security, which cannot be compromised,” while simultaneously affirming that it “fully respects Iran’s sovereignty and the integrity of its territory.”

The Pakistani strikes came two days after Iranian strikes targeted what was described as terrorist group sites near Panjgur in the Balochistan province of southwestern Pakistan, which shares a border of about (1000) kilometers with Iran.
