Mossad or Military Intelligence? Iran Strikes Israeli Security Headquarters

Iran announced on Tuesday that it had carried out a direct strike on an Israeli security facility in Tel Aviv.

While the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed the targeted site was a Mossad headquarters, Israeli sources stated the strike hit the headquarters of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, known as “Aman.”

According to the IRGC’s statement, the attack was a precision strike on a Mossad office in Tel Aviv, resulting in a fire breaking out inside the building, and vowing continued retaliation for Israeli aggression.

The IRGC added that its Aerospace Force conducted a precise and significant operation early this morning, targeting both the Israeli Military Intelligence headquarters (Aman) and the Mossad’s assassination planning center in Tel Aviv.

The statement claimed that fires broke out at the targeted sites, describing the strike as a strategic blow to Israel’s intelligence services.

Videos circulating in Israel appear to show an Iranian missile directly hitting Aman’s headquarters at the Glilot base, located about 1.5 kilometers from Tel Aviv.

The Israeli military acknowledged that several rockets had struck the country Tuesday morning but only confirmed one specific location: a bus terminal in Herzliya, where a missile caused large craters, set a bus ablaze, and damaged several others.

Israeli censorship laws strictly forbid publishing footage or information about military sites being hit. Only civilian targets are allowed to be reported.

The footage strongly suggests that a missile directly struck the Aman building, after Israeli missile defense systems failed to intercept it. The explosion was powerful, and firefighters are seen trying to extinguish a blaze at a building marked with Aman’s emblem.

The Glilot base is one of Israel’s most significant intelligence compounds, housing the Aman Directorate, Unit 8200 (a top electronic surveillance unit), and nearby Mossad offices.

Although no official connection was made, the Israeli military released photos of Aman chief Major General Shlomi Binder visiting the facility, speaking to soldiers and officers.

Binder stated: “You’ve delivered intelligence that penetrated Tehran and enabled us to strike the Iranian General Staff… Soon, you’ll make breakthroughs in other arenas too. You’ve proven you can cross any border and hit any target.”

He added: “Always remember that we are not fighting on just one front. We are confronting Iran, keeping our eyes on our hostages in Gaza, and watching every threat to our soldiers and civilians. You are the eyes of the Israeli public, and you carry the heavy responsibility of delivering real-time alerts so our citizens can reach shelters and stay safe.”
