Dr. Khaled Al-Shumairi, head of the Political Studies Center in Yemen, wrote in a post on his official account on (X), as reported by (Shabwa Press): “The Muslim Brotherhood‘s mouthpieces claim that the anticipated appointment of bin Ma’ili as governor of Marib is the result of efforts and pressures from certain Arab countries on the Presidential Leadership Council.”

He questioned: “Why does the Al-Islah Party always portray the Yemeni state as weak and stripped of its sovereignty whenever a decision contradicts its agenda?”

Al-Shumairi further stated that the hostility of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen toward certain Arab countries can only be described as ungratefulness, emphasizing that these countries were at the forefront of the coalition supporting Yemeni legitimacy and worked to restore legitimacy and maintain Yemen’s unity.

Meanwhile, security authorities affiliated with the Al-Islah Party in Marib have launched a wave of arrests targeting individuals over their opinions and social media posts, under the pretext of insulting religion, continuing their crackdown on activists and critics.

Additionally, Muslim Brotherhood-aligned activists have led a campaign of incitement and excommunication against anyone who criticizes them or questions their control over the city.
