Inspiring Gesture… The UAE Restores the Joy of Ramadan in Gaza
The UAE has carried out inspiring gestures and initiatives in Gaza, successfully bringing hope amid pain, drawing smiles in the face of suffering, and spreading joy despite hardship.
Through “The Gallant Knight 3”, the UAE has managed to restore the festive Ramadan atmosphere for the people of Gaza, despite their severe hardships caused by the war launched by Israel in October 2023.
Since the beginning of the holy month, the UAE has intensified its humanitarian and relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents during this blessed time.
Diverse Initiatives
Alongside humanitarian aid and relief efforts, the UAE has been committed to spreading hope and reviving the joyous atmosphere that characterizes Ramadan in Gaza through inspiring humanitarian gestures and initiatives.
Tents, homes, and even their ruins have been adorned with Ramadan decorations, Palestinian flags, and festive lanterns, which were distributed by the “The Gallant Knight 3” teams. These were accompanied by Qurans, dates, and food parcels, prompting heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the people of Gaza toward the UAE and its leadership.
These initiatives have been documented by the official “The Gallant Knight 3” account on X since the start of Ramadan. Among the most notable initiatives:
- Sharing Iftar meals with Palestinian families, including food assistance to support them during the holy month, as well as decorating homes and tents with Ramadan ornaments and lanterns, creating a hopeful and festive atmosphere.
- Supporting charitable kitchens by providing essential supplies to prepare hundreds of meals for families in need throughout Ramadan.
- Distributing dates, water, and Qurans to worshippers in Gaza’s mosques during the month.
- Launching the “Iftar Sa’im” campaign, through which “The Gallant Knight 3” distributes dates and water to fasting individuals in the streets.
UAE Initiatives Spread Hope and Joy in Gaza
- “The Gallant Knight 3” operation organized daily competition programs, where religious and cultural questions were posed to the people of Gaza in the streets and tents. Qurans and instant gifts were awarded to the winners, alongside recreational activities that brought smiles to the faces of both children and adults. Notable programs included “Hope Tour” and “Good News.”
- Ramadan evenings were organized for children, providing them with Ramadan lanterns and winter clothes.
- “The Gallant Knight 3” operation distributed dates, winter blankets, and school supplies, including backpacks, to school children to alleviate their suffering and support education in Gaza.
- The “The Gallant Knight 3” operation also distributed winter blankets to patients in hospitals and people with disabilities in central Gaza, to ease their suffering amid the harsh winter conditions.
Increased Aid Efforts
Since the beginning of Ramadan, the UAE has intensified its humanitarian and relief support for the people of Gaza to alleviate their suffering during this holy month.
Charitable and humanitarian organizations in the UAE are competing to provide assistance to the people of Gaza as part of the “The Gallant Knight 3” operation, which was launched by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The aid has been continuous since the start of the Israeli escalation in Gaza, with an increase in intensity during the holy month of Ramadan due to the special significance of this time, as well as the increased suffering of Gaza’s residents due to the aftermath of the Israeli attack.
As part of these efforts, the Global Charity Foundation and the Hamid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi Charity Foundation announced on Wednesday the provision of special Ramadan food parcels for the people of Gaza.
This follows an order by Sheikh Hamid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ajman, to send 410 tons of urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza during the blessed month of Ramadan.
UAE Initiatives Spread Hope and Joy in Gaza
In the context of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Zayed Humanitarian Ship No. 7 set sail from the Al-Hamriya Port in Dubai at the start of Ramadan, heading to the city of Al-Arish in Egypt, as part of the “The Gallant Knight 3” operation to support Gaza’s people.
The ship is carrying 5,820 tons of humanitarian aid, including foodstuffs, medicines, medical supplies, and shelter materials, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people amidst the difficult humanitarian conditions they face.
These humanitarian efforts were once again praised by the United Nations a few days ago, affirming that the UAE is an active and effective ally in global humanitarian responses. The country continues to support the UN’s efforts in delivering vital aid to the world’s most vulnerable populations, including those in Gaza.
