Minister of Industry Answers…Why will the UAE invest billions in Israel?

UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan al-Jaber said that his country is determined to invest $10 billion in Israel, among the motives behind this investment.

Al-Jaber added that Abu Dhabi’s announcement of their intention to invest $10 billion in Israel is based on commercial objectives and has nothing to do with politics.

This comes as part of the UAE’s quest for investment opportunities from around the world, he said.

He noted that his country is still in the early stages of studying laws and legislation in Israel.

The UAE is working to determine what bilateral agreements are needed to support and protect investments, he said.

The UAE announced last thursday the possibility of investing $10 billion in a number of sectors, including the energy, manufacturing, water, space and healthcare sectors, in addition to agricultural technology in Israel
