Selena Gomez Reveals Her Inability to Have Children
American star Selena Gomez spoke candidly about her future plans regarding motherhood in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.
The 32-year-old actress and singer revealed that she is unable to have children due to several health issues.
Selena stated, “I’ve never said this before… but unfortunately, I can’t have children. I have many medical conditions that could put both my life and the child’s life at risk. I had to grieve that for a while.”
She added, “But I’m in a much better place now. I feel fortunate that there are amazing people willing to be surrogate mothers, and there are opportunities for adoption. I’m considering those options.”

According to a medical article from WebMD, a health news website, bipolar disorder medications have the potential to cause birth complications, including neural tube defects, heart defects, as well as delayed growth or neurological behavioral issues. However, some doctors recommend continuing these medications during pregnancy, as the symptoms of the disorder may worsen during that sensitive period.
