The Emirati hands of goodness continue to support Palestinians
The United Arab Emirates has sent equipped ambulances to the Egyptian city of El Arish, in preparation for their entry into the Gaza Strip, as part of the ‘The Gallant Knight 3’ operation to support the health sector’s requirements.
This initiative comes in response to the increasing demand for transferring critical cases to the Emirati field hospital, as it is one of the main hospitals providing comprehensive services of ambulance and treatment for the wounded and patients from our Palestinian brethren.
The Emirati field hospital comprises a specialized medical staff in pediatric medicine, general surgery, and intensive care, in addition to operating rooms qualified to perform various surgeries in the specialties of general surgery, pediatric surgery, and orthopedic surgery. It also provides intensive care for adults and children, specialized clinics including internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, and pediatric medicine, as well as supporting medical services such as CT scans, X-rays, pharmacy, and a laboratory equipped with the latest devices necessary for conducting various types of analyses and examinations, enhancing its ability to provide comprehensive treatment to its visitors and beneficiaries according to the best international standards and protocols.
The number of cases treated at the field hospital so far has reached 3575 cases, with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Emirates Red Crescent.
In a separate context, the tenth batch of Palestinian children, who will be provided with treatment by the United Arab Emirates, has arrived, under the directive of the President of the State, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The plane that landed at Abu Dhabi airport carried 39 cases of wounded children and cancer patients accompanied by 78 escorts.
The wounded children and cancer patients were transferred from El Arish to Abu Dhabi under the supervision of a specialized medical team who conducted the evacuation process after examining and evaluating their conditions according to the established health protocol for medical evacuations.
Thus, the hospitals of the Emirates have received 514 injured since the launch of the initiative. This support comes in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, to treat 1000 Palestinian children among the wounded and to treat 1000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in the country’s hospitals.
