The Terrorist Brotherhood Organization and the “Club House” Application

With the emergence and spread of the audio application “Club House”, the members of the terrorist Brotherhood organization began to expand and expand to achieve their goals and destructive project.

The members of the Muslim Brotherhood organization are betting on the vocal “Club House” application to return to the Egyptian and Arab political scene, after the emergence of the application presented an opportunity for its members to propose their project anew and claim that it is still present and active.

The Club House system is based solely on sound, making it look like a call-up, rather than text or visual publications on which social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are based.

Over the past few weeks, the app has succeeded in attracting more social media users, as it only has IPhone users, and can be accessed by accepting an invitation to join a virtual room for voice discussions on various topics.

Political wing

Dr. Adel Abdel Sadek, head of the Digital Society Studies Program at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, told Al-Ain Al-Akhbar that the unofficial, especially violent opposition, such as the Muslim Brotherhood or other terrorist organizations such as ISIL and al-Qaeda, is always looking for applications that find acceptance among young people in an attempt to attend and spread. “The organization seeks to search for a new audience in which it is trying to invest ideologically and organizationally after their successive losses thanks to security vigilance.”

An expert at Al-Ahram Center explained that the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood members has become heavily present on the Club House platform to recruit new members by using a flexible method of attraction and persuasion in an attempt to employ those elements later in the execution of the organization’s destructive project and their goals related to violence and terrorism against the state.

liberal speech

In using the new app, Abdul Sadek said : “The tactics of the Brotherhood members in practice are based on liberal, open-minded rhetoric and the claim that they seek democratic transformation in Egypt, as well as the fight against injustice and poverty and the attempt to portray them as the sincere devotion to the problems and crises of society, and thus the search for a better society.”

intellectual effect

These groups aim to exert emotional and intellectual influence, and later to exert behavioral influence by attracting new members to join the activities of these armed groups, which can move on the ground, not just digital applications, Abdul Sadek said.

He confirmed the failure of the Brotherhood to achieve their goals through the Club House platform or others, and at the same time reduced their influence within the new application, saying: “The Brotherhood has failed miserably in producing a model of the group’s rule in Egypt; “Therefore, trying to reinvent themselves as a governing elite, or seeking power, will face a major popular rejection.”

He continued : “There has become a great public awareness of the truth about the Brotherhood organization and its plans after the failure of their experiment in power, and the realization by ordinary people that the group does not see itself as part of the homeland, but part of a broad world that does not recognize national borders, and is a tool in the hands of a regional project that seeks to achieve the new Ottoman project promoted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”

“Other factors include the development of the legislative structure in the face of terrorism in many countries, the development of cultural awareness among the masses using social networking platforms, and the security strikes on the ground launched by extremist organizations such as ISIL in Syria and Iraq, which led to its intellectual decline and its attempt to reproduce it,” he said.

The return of the Muslim Brotherhood project to life again faces major obstacles at the popular and political levels, he said.

On the best ways to confront the Brotherhood on the new application, Abdel Sadek said : “The ideology of the group and their negative experience in Egyptian society must be refuted. Therefore, the power of thought and opinion is needed in order to expose them to public opinion.”

He also demonstrated the necessity of benefiting from the successful model led by the Egyptian state on the political, economic, development and infrastructure levels during the discussions and dialogs in the new application. He said : “We have a model for development that is a model for the countries of the region.”

He pointed out that there are currently gaps between the Brotherhood’s international organization on the one hand and the Brotherhood’s branches on the other, on the other hand, and the current organizational gap between the Brotherhood’s youth and leaders on the other.”
