Three Children Killed: Teen Faces 14 Charges After Horrific Attack

British police have charged a 17-year-old teenager with 14 counts, including murder, attempted murder, and carrying a knife, in connection with the attack that occurred in Southport a few days ago.

The arrested teenager, whose name cannot be disclosed for legal reasons, will appear in Liverpool City Court today, Thursday, according to local British newspapers.

The attack carried out by the young man during a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga workshop resulted in the deaths of three girls aged between 6 and 9 years. Eight children were also injured, with five in critical condition.

During the attack, businessman John Hayes was stabbed in the leg, while Leanne Lucas, one of the workshop organizers, sustained serious injuries while trying to protect the children.

The announcement of the charges coincided with police crackdowns on riots in Britain due to false information about the attacker’s identity, which falsely claimed he was an asylum seeker, prompting authorities to urge people not to believe the rumors circulating on social media.

Neighbors of the suspect reported a heavy police presence at his home in the nearby village of Banks, and described the suspect as “introverted” and interested in karate, theater, and the arts.
