Turkey: 9 Killed in Bus Accident near Ankara
At least nine people were killed and 26 others injured on Friday after a bus collided with a bridge in Ankara, according to a preliminary report from the governor of the Turkish capital.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), the accident occurred around 5 a.m. local time (2 a.m. GMT) when a passenger bus traveling from Eskişehir in central Turkey crashed into the wall of a bridge on a highway near Ankara. The incident prompted the deployment of a large number of ambulances and rescue teams, as reported by the Turkish public television station TRT.
