UAE – ‘Identity’ launches third generation of advanced services


The Federal Commission for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Port Security of United Arab Emirates announced today the launch of the third generation of advanced services. The third generation of advanced services includes the launch of a new UAE passport and visa system to enhance the United Arab Emirates’ cultural status among world countries, provide the latest security and technological standards, meet the needs of customers and support the process of economic growth and sustainable development.

The new generation of advanced services was launched at a ceremony organized by the Authority at the Emirates Palace Hotel, in the presence of His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al-Shamsi, the Authority’s Chairman, general managers, CEOs, sector leaders, officials and a number of partners.

The ceremony celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the Bachelor of Residence and Nationality at the Academy of Identity and Nationality. The association’s strategic partners and senior retired employees were also honored.

During the opening speech of the ceremony, HE Ali Mohammed Al-Shamsi, Chairman of the Authority, said that the development of services provided to the various categories of users is at the top of the strategic priorities of the Authority, which is the preoccupation of its task forces, pointing out that the Authority, through the efforts and determination of its members, has been able to achieve major achievements in developing services, creating a qualitative leap in all services provided, and creating new services, which contributed to enhancing the welfare and happiness of the users.

His Excellency added: We know the size of our ambitions, as well as the challenges, and the Authority still has much to do to achieve them. The train of development will not stop, as long as the heart is beating, and the satisfaction and happiness of our dealers will remain a high goal that we always strive to achieve.

The launch of the third generation of advanced services reaffirms the Authority’s full commitment to the wise leadership’s directives to move towards fully intelligent services, and its constant keenness to implement the plans and strategies of good government, and to move towards new horizons in developing services and devising proactive services that meet the needs of customers, said HE Ali Mohammed Al-Shamsi.

His Excellency pointed out that the third generation of the developed services system is comprehensive, and not limited to one group only, as this generation targets the citizen, resident and visitor of the organization through a comprehensive and diverse system of services, systems, projects and national practical and practical initiatives.

His Excellency added: “The new generation of advanced services is the fruit of sincere efforts made by the Authority’s people in cooperation with their partners over the past months to enhance the civilized status of the UAE, support the security of society and maintain its stability, and ensure that citizens and residents have access to distinguished services,” he said.

He continued: “Issuing the new generation of advanced services is an important step on the road to 50, and the enhancement of the UAE’s position in international airports and tourist sites. The Authority has an ambitious future vision to launch services to new horizons in the coming decades, whether in the level of services provided, their quality, the channels for providing them, or the expansion of their beneficiary base, by making use of available databases and information, in addition to reading the future directions of world governments.”

His Excellency praised the efforts of sincere members of the Authority and its leadership, who have dedicated themselves to work over the past decades, and left clear marks indicating their excellence, creativity and dedication in the service of the country. He also praised the efforts of the commission’s task forces and the contribution of the commission’s partners in developing the services provided, stressing that team spirit, teamwork and strategic partnership are the means to succeed in achieving the desired goals.

In the framework of the Authority’s strategic objectives on building institutional capacity and raising the competence of employees and scientific and professional partners, HRE the Chairman of the Authority honored the members of the Authority and its partners, graduates of the first batch of the Emirates Academy of Identity and Nationality within the Bachelor’s Program in the Nationality and Residency Law and the first outlets of its kind in the world, in a step aimed at upgrading the educational level of the Authority’s employees and partners and qualifying them to deal with new challenges and enhancing the quality of services provided.

His Excellency also honored retired Major General Mubarak Bin Sinan Al-Mutairi in appreciation of his sincere national efforts, his performance and his active contribution to the development of the work system in the Authority and to serve the nation and society for more than 30 years. UN-Women’s strategic partners were also recognized for their contribution to developing services that meet the needs and aspirations of clients.
