UAE: Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed’s efforts to strengthen Arab ties


Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attracted the attention of the world after his Arab meeting with Arab leaders in the Jordanian city of Aqaba. The meeting between Zayed and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.

Observers believe that this spontaneous and friendly meeting that brought together four Arab brothers reflects the strength of the Arab alliance, increases their cohesion and pushes their relations towards a better future for the peoples and the region as a whole.

Arab Emirates relations

The United Arab Emirates enjoys very strong relations with its Arab brethren. It is the primary supporter of all countries.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia are the strongest in the region, and the two countries have formed a strong alliance with tangible returns on both sides.

The UAE is also seeking to strengthen its relations with Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, which emerged during these meetings, and it is expected that all parties will feel their unprecedented returns and be in the interest of all.

Emirati movements

The meeting is part of intensive efforts by bin Zayed, who held about 10 telephone conversations with leaders of Arab and Western countries.

Informed sources confirmed that Bin Zayed discussed strengthening bilateral relations with the dialog countries and some Western countries, in addition to discussing the Ukrainian crisis and its impact on the region and its global repercussions.

In just 25 days, Ben Zayed held 13 summits, apart from the telephone talks.

Observers believe that Bin Zayed has never left room for international political action to discuss the transformations taking place in the region and the world and to strengthen Gulf and Arab cooperation.
