An Iranian organization demands to “punish” Qatar for participation of Revolutionary Guards in military Expo
An Iranian organization has demanded the US government hold Qatar accountable for the presence of Revolutionary Guard commanders at the Doha Military Equipment Exhibition.
United against Nuclear Iran, a US-based organization, said in a statement: “Doha’s move to “legitimize” the IRGC deserves a much more decisive response than regret,” referring to the US State Department’s regret over Qatar’s move, Iran International reported.
The organization said the US State Department should recall Qatar’s ambassador to Washington and the US Treasury Department should impose sanctions against Qatari officials who deal with the Revolutionary Guard.
United Against Nuclear Iran regretted that the Biden government declared Qatar a non-NATO ally in the region less than three weeks ago, noting that the inclusion of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in a military exhibition is not done by any ally of the United States.
The statement warned: While Iran is famous for “monitoring and stealing from foreign companies” to harm it, the organizers of the Doha Expo set up a pavilion for Iran alongside the US-based General Automotive Company.
United against Nuclear Iran, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization in the United States that seeks to “prevent Iran from realizing its ambition to become a regional superpower with nuclear weapons”.
The organization is leading efforts to pressure companies to stop doing business with Iran, as a means of stopping the Iranian government’s nuclear program and its development of nuclear weapons.
