Unprecedented Announcement: Israeli Commandos Operated Inside Iran

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir revealed that “ground commando units” were deployed in Iran during the 12-day war between the two countries.

Zamir stated, “The achievements were made possible thanks to our air force and ground commando groups,” adding that “these forces moved secretly deep within enemy territory, granting us complete operational freedom.”

Zamir made the remarks in a video published by the Israeli military. It is the first official confirmation of Israeli soldiers participating in combat operations on Iranian soil.

Iranian authorities have yet to comment on Zamir’s announcement.

In the same video, the chief of staff noted that although the operation is over, “the campaign is not yet complete… We must remain vigilant, as many challenges still lie ahead.”

This marks the first time Israeli ground forces have operated inside Iran.

A ceasefire declared by U.S. President Donald Trump ended the 12-day war between Israel and Iran.
