With the help of artificial intelligence… Trump threatens Iran again by targeting Kharg Island

US President Donald Trump issued a new threat against Iran, raising the possibility of targeting Kharg Island.

Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social: “Bye-bye Kharg,” accompanying the post with an AI-generated image depicting explosions caused by strikes on the island.

Trump followed that with another post featuring an image of a map of Iran, on which he wrote: “Iran is a failed state.”

In a third post, Trump said Iran was suffering from hyperinflation and that “the Iranian currency has been wiped out.”

He also pointed out that Iranian oil exports were declining sharply, while oil shipments in the Strait of Hormuz had returned to their previous levels, according to his account.

On Saturday, the US military announced that it had struck three Iranian crude-oil tankers in response to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeting two warships.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on its account on the X platform that it had attacked three Iranian crude-oil tankers after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles toward two US Navy warships that were patrolling in territorial waters.

CENTCOM said a US aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer had successfully evaded multiple Iranian attacks, which it described as unjustified. No US personnel were injured.

Following the failed Iranian attacks, US Central Command completely disabled two crude-oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: the “Dawni” off the coast of Kharg Island, and the “Stark” near Jask.

US forces also completely destroyed the empty crude-oil tanker “Kilo,” also known as “Knoxen,” in the Gulf of Oman. The vessel was struck at several critical points to render it inoperable, after its crew had been instructed to abandon the ship.

The three Iranian crude-oil tankers are part of a multibillion-dollar clandestine network that finances Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its proxies in the region.

Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of US Central Command, said: “Let the message to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be clear: if you fire on two of our ships, we will impose a far greater economic cost on you by destroying three of yours.”

He added: “We will not hesitate to defend US forces and destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet if necessary.”
