After Rumors About His Relationship with a Deceased Star, Kim Soo Hyun Breaks His Silence

The agency Gold Medalist, which represents South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, has denied allegations made by the YouTube channel “Hover Lab” on March 10. The channel claimed that the actor had been in a six-year romantic relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron, which allegedly began when she was just fifteen years old.

The channel further alleged that Kim Sae Ron worked for Kim Soo Hyun’s company in areas such as new talent casting and visual directing but was never compensated for her work. It also claimed that the actor provided financial support to Kim Sae Ron after her drunk-driving incident.

According to Hover Lab, these claims were verified by Kim Sae Ron’s parents and included a phone interview with one of her family members.

The video sparked a wave of outrage online, with fans sharing photos and details about the alleged relationship while expressing their discontent with Kim Soo Hyun.

In response to these allegations, Gold Medalist issued an official statement, categorically denying the claims.

The agency stated that the accusations made by Hover Lab were “completely baseless”, emphasizing that it had never collaborated with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho nor engaged in any behavior that harmed the late Kim Sae Ron.

It also refuted any romantic relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron, calling the claim false.

Gold Medalist expressed deep sorrow over Kim Sae Ron’s passing, describing her as a former member of their agency. It stressed that spreading such false information not only harms the agency but also tarnishes the late actress’s memory.

Finally, Gold Medalist announced that it would take legal action against “Hover Lab” for defamation and urged the public to refrain from sharing or amplifying these false rumors.

Notably, The New York Times reported that the death of Netflix star Kim Sae Ron, who passed away on February 16 at the age of 24, was not linked to any criminal activity, stating that the actress had taken her own life.
