Griffiths: The closure of Sanaa Airport by Iran-backed Houthi militia to aid is very worrying
During a UN Security Council session to discuss the latest developments in the country on Tuesday, the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, declared that the closure of Sanaa Airport by Iran-backed Houthi militia to help is very worrying.
Griffiths informed the Security Council that he sent an advanced draft of a ceasefire agreement to fighting parties of Yemen last week and now is the time for the parties to swiftly conclude the negotiations. He also said that the time has come for all parties involved in Yemen to reach an agreement.
