Mohamed bin Zayed confirms depth of UAE-Pakistan relations
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the depth of the historical relations between the UAE and Pakistan.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Pakistan’s army chief of staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday at the Sea Palace.
The two sides discussed cooperation relations and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan, especially in defense affairs and issues to serve their mutual interests.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the mutual keenness to further strengthen relations at various levels.

In this context, he appreciated the sincere efforts of General Qamar Javed Bajwa to develop the prospects for cooperation and joint action between the two countries for the benefit of their two friendly peoples.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments of interest to both countries.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa the Federation Medal for his outstanding efforts in supporting relations between the UAE and Pakistan and his role in consolidating joint cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Pakistan’s Chief of Staff, awarded the medal, the second highest decoration awarded by the state, in honor of senior officials from brotherly and friendly countries.
For his part, General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the UAE and his pride in this honor, which reflects the strength of the friendship between the two countries.
His country was keen to develop its fruitful cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and promote it to serve the peoples of the two countries, he said.
