She wanted to punish him.. A 155 kg woman sat on her child and killed him
A woman in her forties from Indiana, USA, sat on her 10-year-old adopted son until he took his last breath.
According to American media, the woman could face a prison sentence with hard labor if convicted of manslaughter.
Jennifer Lee Wilson, 48, weighing 155 kg, sat on her son Dakota Levi Stevens, who weighs no more than 28 kg, claiming she wanted to prevent him from repeatedly running away to a neighbor’s house.
The boy had begged a neighbor to adopt him, claiming his parents had hit him in the face, but the neighbor did not believe him as she did not notice any signs of abuse.
The boy returned home disappointed, and Wilson then attacked and punished him by throwing him to the ground and sitting on him. Dakota screamed, begging her to let him go and get up because he was starting to feel pain.
After noticing that the boy had stopped moving, Wilson called Dakota’s social worker.
A doorbell camera recorded Wilson lying on the boy for 5 minutes. When he stopped moving and screaming, she asked him if he was pretending and did not get up until she saw his eyelids had turned pale.
By the time the police arrived, Dakota was taking his last breath, and paramedics tried to save him, while Wilson was in shock.
After two days in the hospital, Dakota passed away. The coroner said his death was due to “sequential asphyxiation,” which prevented oxygen from reaching his entire body.
