Sudan War… Saudi Writer Discusses the Hidden Role of the Muslim Brotherhood

Saudi writer Najib Yemani shed light, in an article published in the newspaper “Okaz,” on the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Sudanese war.

Yemani wrote: “The issue of the Sudanese war is clearer and more evident than any attempt at caution and precaution, and the party that continues to stoke its flames and work for its continuation is known and clear, and its role is clearer in thwarting all chances of reaching a solution, whether on the platform of Jeddah, Manama, or taking the issue to Libya, and any observer of the Sudanese issue can unequivocally point the accusatory finger at the (Brotherhood) in this tragedy experienced by the Sudanese people.

Yemani relied on what Mashari al-Thayidi said in one of his articles: “After (10) days since the outbreak of the Sudanese civil war, a clear Brotherhood bias in favor of Al-Burhan against Hemeti has become evident, they demonize him and praise Al-Burhan, and these words are present in the British magazine “The Times” when Hemeti accused Al-Burhan of bias towards the Brothers seeking to regain power, while the head of the Sovereign Council denied these accusations, claiming that the allegations of “chiefs” in the army are false.”

The Saudi writer added that the newspaper “Al-Sharq Al-Awsat” in its issue number (16284) indicated that Sudanese military sources mentioned that “Islamists” have a hidden role in the conflict, and that thousands of those who worked in the Sudanese national security and intelligence apparatus during the time of President Bashir and who have ties to the Islamist trend are currently fighting alongside the army. He also confirmed that “the Sudanese Brothers ignited the spark of war and continue to fuel it”, citing Al-Burhan‘s absence from the meeting sponsored by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States to discuss the crisis, while everyone else was present, including the commander of the Rapid Support Forces, and Al-Burhan was absent, which was interpreted as a rejection of the agreement.

He continued: “Backstage observers affirm that the instructions of the Islamic movement prevented Al-Burhan from attending, so that the start of the current war in Sudan becomes a catastrophic and tragic scene, described at the very least as “absurd and surreal”, with the result of continued destruction and oppression of Sudan and displacement of its people, rape of its daughters, killings and victims and crimes committed on its soil and irresponsible behaviors and unregulated behaviors, in scenes that disgrace humanity that rejects such inhumane acts.”

Yemani said: “There is evidence of the movement of Brotherhood leaders, and their incitement to thwart the agreement, and to push their troops towards confrontation, which reached its peak with one of them requesting a religious fatwa to kill the UN envoy, as he is responsible for the political solution process culminated by the “framework agreement”, and other leaders of them appeared threatening – openly and before the end of the war – to liquidate political activists on the Sudanese scene, affirming their return to power in an absolute manner to end the situation of hidden power led by Al-Burhan.

This “truth” is being revealed day by day, and perhaps the most sincere expression of it was formulated by Dr. Tareq al-Sheikh in an article entitled: “What are the real forces behind the bloody scene?”, and he wrote: “What is happening today in Sudan is a military coup orchestrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, to get rid of the biggest threat to them represented by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and his forces, and is conducted with the support and under the leadership of Al-Burhan, who seems to be distancing himself from the media”.”

To confirm this proposition, American sanctions were imposed on former Sudanese Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement Ali Karti for obstructing ceasefire settlements, and for putting an end to the destructive conflict in Sudan.
