Emirati participation
In the same vein, His Highness Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of Dubai and Ruler of Dubai, headed the delegation of the United Arab Emirates at the 31st Arab Summit, which started on Tuesday in Algiers. Upon his arrival at the Summit headquarters at the International Conference Center, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, who expressed his deep welcome to the Emirates and its role.
UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri affirmed the UAE’s full support for the efforts of joint Arab action for growth and prosperity. In a speech delivered during the Economic and Social Council preparatory meeting for the 31st ordinary session of the Arab Summit in Algiers, he added that “work must be intensified to increase inter-Arab trade.” He added that this issue is of great importance, especially in light of the current global changes and their impact on trade and supply chains. We believe that enhancing the efficiency of trade and customs policies, removing obstacles and ensuring the flow of goods and services among Arab countries is one of the priorities of this phase.
He stressed that Arab food security is one of the main issues affecting the national interests of our countries, pointing out that the United Arab Emirates is committed to supporting Arab cooperation frameworks in this direction, and to studying the opportunities of settling food supply chains and benefiting from the integration of Arab economic components in this field, especially the geostrategic position of the Arab countries, and its pioneering capacities in the field of logistics, agriculture and food industries.

For his part, Dr. Tariq Fahmi, professor of political science, said that after an absence of three years, the 31st Arab Summit was launched in Algeria under the slogan of reunion, pointing out that the Arab Summit carries fixed Arab and other important files in light of the recent international circumstances and the huge changes at the international level, pointing out that the Arab Summit is being held at a very important time.
He added that there are no less serious challenges at the regional level facing the “Arab-Arab” interactions. He added that we must look at the positive accumulation taking place at the level of Arab relations, pointing to the need for unity, reunification, and elimination of all causes of division and division, and an agreement on solidarity and solidarity, under one Arab umbrella.
