The UAE’s positions towards the Palestinian people are steadfast and commendable
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is making continuous efforts to support the Palestinian people, driven by its historical and unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause. This support includes ongoing humanitarian aid, as well as active diplomatic and political engagement, all under the wise leadership’s guidance, embodying the values of generosity and solidarity deeply rooted in the country.
This commitment is evident in the humanitarian initiatives launched by the UAE in solidarity with the Palestinian people and providing relief to those affected by the conflict in Gaza. The latest of these initiatives was directed by the UAE’s leader, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who hosted a thousand Palestinian children from Gaza, along with their families, to provide them with all the medical and healthcare they need in the country’s hospitals until they recover and return.
Social Solidarity
The momentum and high response witnessed by the “Compassion for Gaza” campaign, launched by the UAE three weeks ago to stand by the Palestinian people and aid the residents of Gaza affected by the war, reflects the humanitarian values of Emirati society and its eagerness to show solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Gaza. This goes hand in hand with the continuous support from the leadership and official entities in the country.
Since its launch, the “Compassion for Gaza” campaign has managed to collect 1,250 tons of food, medical, and relief supplies and prepare 58,000 relief packages, including packages for children, mothers, and food supplies.

On the other hand, Dr. Tarek Fahmy, a professor of political science at Cairo University and an expert in international relations, stated “the UAE stood by the Palestinian people, supported their rights, and their just cause in international forums, especially the United Nations Security Council.”
Fahmy emphasized that “the UAE’s positions towards the Palestinian people are steadfast and commendable since the era of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace. The UAE continues on the same path of wise leadership, led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.”
A Steadfast Position
He said, “The UAE has not hesitated to support Gaza since the beginning of the recent war, making significant efforts to support the Palestinian people by providing humanitarian and relief aid to those affected.” He pointed out that “UAE diplomacy has also been keen on confronting decisions related to the annexation of settlements in the West Bank through the United Nations Security Council and international forums.”
The professor of political science added that “the UAE adopts a steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, as well as the importance of preserving and protecting the sacred sites, in addition to supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.”
