Saudi Arabia is set to reopen airspace and land and sea borders to Qatar

According to Kuwait’s foreign minister, it’s expected that Saudi Arabia would reopen its airspace and land and sea borders to Qatar and according to a statement made by Kuwait’s foreign minister in a televised comment, both land and sea borders would reopen since Monday night.

Kuwait’s foreign minister said on state TV: Based on (Kuwait’s ruler Emir) Sheikh Nawaf’s proposal, it was agreed to open the airspace and land and sea borders between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar, starting from this evening.

Indeed, the borders’ reopening comes on the eve of the 41st GCC Summit held in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla city. On his part, Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani affirmed his presence at GCC Summit in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, in what an official statement reported.

Whereas, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman stated, earlier on Monday night, that the next GCC summit of Gulf Arab leaders in AlUla would aim to unify the path toward promoting prosperity and achieving the interests of the region.
