United States Announces Completion of an Additional Wave of Strikes Against Iran, Targeting 90 Objectives

The United States military announced on Thursday that it had completed an additional round of strikes against Iran.

In a statement, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had carried out another wave of strikes against Iran in order to further degrade its ability to attack commercial shipping and innocent civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM stated that US forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets.

According to the statement, the strikes targeted air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage facilities, naval capabilities, and military logistical infrastructure located along Iran’s coastline.

These operations follow the successful execution of offensive strikes conducted inside Iran during the previous night.

On 7 July, United States Central Command had already targeted approximately 80 Iranian military objectives, including more than 60 small vessels belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), with the stated aim of imposing a significant cost on Iran following what Washington described as its violation of the ceasefire through attacks on three commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM further emphasized that US forces remain on full alert, possess the necessary combat capabilities, and stand fully prepared to execute any operations directed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
