Paris… how a Brotherhood-aligned gathering turned into a platform to undermine European values

Recent field reports and journalistic investigations have, according to their authors, exposed what they describe as the true nature of Brotherhood-aligned activity in France, portraying the annual Muslim gathering recently held at Le Bourget as having turned into a “marketplace for extremism” aimed at indoctrinating younger generations and reinforcing their separation from French society.

According to the Spanish outlet Atalayar, the exhibition held from April 3 to 6 featured the promotion of literature described as “ideological toxins.”

The reports state that books were present which explicitly called for undermining social peace by inciting the execution of apostates and homosexuals, dehumanizing non-Muslims, and promoting hostility toward women through the justification of child marriage and advocacy of absolute subservience, as well as using derogatory language toward European women. They also refer to the promotion of works advocating pragmatic ideological alliances “even with Iranian currents” in order to attack the Western social fabric.

Security reports, including one issued by the Ministry of the Interior in May 2025, indicate that the association “Musulmans de France” is merely a “genetically modified façade” of the former Union of Islamic Organizations in France, described as the historical arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country.

The cited sources say this network established a parallel “ecosystem” extending beyond mosques into schools and universities that allegedly encourage youth isolation, relying on financial flows to support the group’s infrastructure.

According to experts on Islamist movements, the group in Europe follows a two-pillar strategy: the use of “Islamophobia” as a rhetorical tool, and the exploitation of European rights legislation to label any criticism of the group as “hate speech,” thereby providing a form of protection to extremists, alongside gradual infiltration through local, sports, and educational institutions to reshape the identity of European Muslims in line with the Brotherhood’s vision.

The reverberations of the events at Le Bourget have renewed political calls for a policy of “zero tolerance.” The National Assembly voted last January to call on the European Union to classify the Muslim Brotherhood as a “terrorist organization,” which, according to these analyses, reflects a growing awareness of the perceived threat this infiltration poses to the secular and foundational values of the state.

The reports conclude that addressing this “infiltration” requires a comprehensive intellectual effort and genuine support for reformist movements that reject the politicization of religion, warning that ignoring the content of such publications could lead to a social divide that would be difficult to repair.
