In recent days of the holy month of Ramadan, the United Arab Emirates has hosted summits and discussions that reflect its commitment to strengthening bridges of partnership, cooperation, and peace with various nations worldwide.

These summits culminated in the enhancement of cooperative relations with several countries, most notably Bahrain, Somalia, and the Central African Republic, alongside the signing of agreements in various fields that align with this objective.

These efforts embody the vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at fostering communication and collaboration with countries across the world, particularly during Ramadan, a month he has expressed hope will bring “goodness and peace to all people worldwide.”

As part of these diplomatic engagements, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on Wednesday.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Ramadan.

The discussion focused on the deep fraternal ties between the UAE and Bahrain, as well as their shared commitment to strengthening their cooperation for the benefit of their nations and people.

To honor Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the UAE President hosted an iftar banquet.

Somalia’s Appreciation

This meeting followed another key diplomatic event two days earlier, when Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi, both leaders exchanged Ramadan greetings and well wishes.

The two presidents discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, particularly in efforts to achieve development and stability in Somalia.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud praised the UAE’s continued support for Somalia in numerous fields, particularly in development initiatives that help fulfill the aspirations of the Somali people for growth, stability, and prosperity.

Partnership with the Central African Republic

On the 6th of this month, a summit took place between Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic. The two leaders explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation, particularly in key developmental sectors such as economic and trade relations, investment, renewable energy, and infrastructure.

During the meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the visiting president extended his Ramadan greetings to the UAE President, wishing the country and its people continued progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to fostering development partnerships with African nations to create a more prosperous and sustainable future for their people and the world.

Both leaders emphasized their mutual dedication to strengthening cooperation between the UAE and the Central African Republic, with the aim of achieving economic prosperity and sustainable development for their nations.

The summit witnessed the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two countries, designed to enhance bilateral trade and investment opportunities, particularly in strategic sectors.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan remarked, “We look forward to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement marking a new phase in relations between the UAE and the Central African Republic, in line with our shared vision for sustainable growth and development. This agreement aims to open new horizons for trade, investment, and collaboration to serve our mutual interests.”

Additionally, several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed between the two nations in areas such as investment protection and promotion, tax avoidance, infrastructure, mineral resources, and education.

Partnership Diplomacy

Summits, discussions, and agreements underscore the UAE’s commitment to building effective partnerships with countries around the world and strengthening multilateral cooperation to promote sustainable development and global prosperity. This dedication is consistently reaffirmed by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his engagements with world leaders and officials.

These diplomatic efforts reflect the UAE’s strategic vision to enhance bilateral relations and establish strong partnerships that align with its aspirations and those of nations worldwide for a future of greater development and prosperity.
